After finally burning out, getting depressed, quitting my job, giving up my apartment, shying away from my friends, choking on my own emotions and sitting in the dark crying, all within the time span of just a year, reading fan fiction as a soothing balm for a bruised soul and generally feeling like life has passed me by this past decade, I finally decided this is the lowest I could go. I felt pathetic. From here on out, there’d only be up. It’s reassuring to know you haven’t completely lost your mind during such a crash, slowly coming around and noticing what has been slipping through your fingers more and more.
